Hi Louise,

Have tried to reach out to you via Substack Chat, but perhaps you don't use that?

I'd be very interested to talk with you regarding your insight on coroner's offices and their reporting duties/capacities.

Regards,

@Witzbold

Also, it is now a matter of record (CSO) that there WERE significantly more deaths/funerals in 2020 than on average ( at least a thousand more), i.e. the total NUMBER of deaths was up in 2020. However…

RATE per 1,000 population (taking account of population growth) was only slightly up, nevertheless, above average.

AGE-Standardised RATE (taking account of a larger AND older population) was also moderately up (after fallen steadily for a decade).

When you wanted to publish your article (April 2021) I don't think a detailed age profile of deaths from 2020 was available. So, I'm curious about your independent researcher's calculations from early 2021, as I don't quite understand how he could reliably have calculated no excess deaths for 2020.

He was quite right in his criticisms of RTE’s and other’s presentations using an atypical sampling period of Mar-Dec or Mar’20-Feb’21. And similarly, he was right that NPHET’s figures were exaggerated. So, I agree there was overall no significant excess mortality in 2020, but only if using age-standardised mortality rates to take account of the older, larger population.

The wretches, like Bowers, who perpetuated the COVID lie will have time to reflect on their role. In the meantime we should thank God for those lights in the darkness, like Louise, who persevered to the end.

Thanks Louise for another excellent article. It seems to me that those early 'figures' have glued themselves so firmly to the minds of many that I know that there's simply no chance of getting to understand how they were fooled. I followed the CSO from day 1 and, to me, it was absolutely clear that death numbers were being grossly exaggerated and manipulated. And I'm no mathematician/statistician😅.
