Some Personal News

Dear reader,

After four years on The Bold Step for attempts to cover the forbidden topic of covid vaccine harm, I have a new job!

This is something of a miracle - having lost my job and been blocked and blacklisted for every method I made to tackle the subject - I’d resigned to the fact I would never again be allowed to work in the Irish media.

This after 15 years reporting for local, regional and national news and the last five of those covering medical inquests at the Coroners Court in Dublin for the Irish Times, RTE, the Indo, Examiner and others.

I had pretty much given up on my career and in February this year, I interviewed for a hotel receptionist job.

Then an email from CitizenGO landed in my inbox, seeking a Campaigns Director for Ireland. So I applied.

The good news is I can keep up this Substack and continue reporting here - this work is not finished by a long shot.

Even better news is that I now will be able to launch and run campaigns close to my heart and by the same token I hope, close to your own hearts too.

The best news of all is that I am working flexible hours so I can still go to Mass after the daily dip in the Atlantic. Praise God!

Thank you to all of you that subscribed and bought coffees and shared the work and offered criticism and commentary these past few horrible years - you literally kept the show on the road when I was - at times - at my wits end.

Someday, I may sit down and write about what it’s been like to lose my job and all means of earning a living as a reporter, the only career I had ever wanted to pursue, and sign on to Job Seekers for the first time in my life. It’s been a humbling experience but by far the worst aspect has been the inability to reach the regular audience, the people who place their faith and trust in the mainstream media and what they read in the newspapers. The job of a journalist is to inform - not persuade or cajole or manipulate. That’s the primary goal of the profession. Something has gone very wrong.

Some of you will have already received my first emails as Campaigns Director Ireland for CitizenGO. For those not familiar with the organisation, it stands "For Life, Family, and Freedom."

Current and high profile campaigns seek to block digital currency, the Pandemic Treaty, Hate Speech laws, irreversible gender treatments for children and more. CitizenGO originated in Spain and now operates in fifty countries, seeking to empower ordinary people to influence institutions, politicians and governments.

My first campaign with CitizenGO will come as no surprise to regular readers - it seeks to support our Irish doctors who spoke out against dangerous covid policies in order to protect patients. This petition is for them. I will personally deliver it to the Irish Medical Council at the Peaceful Assembly for Medical Freedom taking place on June 10 at Kingram House, Dublin 2.

Please support this petition - it’s important the Irish Medical Council is made aware of your views since we have no newspaper coverage of this topic. It is really important that what happened in 2020 and beyond is subject to proper scrutiny and not passed over without investigation. Those responsible must be held to account.

I will be there myself on June 10 and hope to see some of you there too.

Thanks for everything over the years and do stay tuned here. I’m struggling with the technical parts of the Campaign Director role (no surprise there!) but I think this is a development that could benefit all of us.
