Irish family seek detection of vaccine spike protein post autopsy
Bereaved family enters uncharted territory in search for answers
The family of an Irish woman who died post covid 19 vaccine plan to have her tissue samples tested for the presence of mRNA spike protein. The family read about testing protocols for the detection of mRNA spike protein on this Substack. They suspect the vaccine may have played a role in the woman’s death and hope the process can help them in their search for answers.
The family have contacted the pathologist that conducted a post mortem examination on the woman’s remains and have secured permission for further exploratory testing.
The process involves the application of Dr Arne Burkhardt’s autopsy protocols, which involves immunohistochemistry staining with specific antigens. The pathologist confirmed to the family, that tissue samples examined as part of his autopsy remain in storage. However, as a HSE employee, he is not authorised to conduct any further examination of the samples.
“I am not at liberty to be privately engaged by next of kin to directly investigate or continue to research a case, particularly with a view to amending or altering the cause of death or verdict as rendered at the conclusion of a previously held inquest,” the pathologist told the family, in correspondence seen by this Substack.
“Offering specific comment on CoVid-19, the Pfizer vaccine and the significance, if any, of identifying elements thereof within post mortem tissue sections, particularly when the sections appeared normal microscopically, is outside my area of direct expertise,” the pathologist told the family.
The woman’s death was the subject of an inquest that concluded with an open verdict last year.
The post-mortem, conducted as part of the coroner’s inquiry, gave the cause of death as unascertained.
The coroner did not specifically set out to determine if this death was vaccine related though the family raised issues ahead of the inquest and during the inquiry proceedings. A formal report of a vaccine related adverse event was made to the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) by a medic that cared for the deceased. The pathologist who conducted the autopsy was not made aware of the reported adverse event.
At the inquest, medical witnesses were questioned about possible links between the woman’s demise and her Pfizer covid vaccine. Doctors were unable to rule out the vaccine as a factor in the woman’s death.
The inquest returned an open verdict leaving the family with unanswered questions.
Further testing to establish a causal link between the vaccine and the death would require the re-examination of tissue samples through immunohistochemistry staining – a process that is done routinely at autopsy.
The difference, in applying Dr Arne Burckhardt’s specific protocols at autopsy, is that spike protein produced by the mRNA present in Covid 19 vaccines can be detected.
In correspondence, the pathologist told the family that if they have identified a test or investigation that they wish to pursue along with a suitable facility, he is willing to provide stored tissue from archived samples.
The family will now begin the process of correspondence with a lab in Germany for further information on how to proceed. This is uncharted territory for an Irish family, as little is known of the application of the Burkhardt protocols on tissue samples as a process by request.
The family said they told the coroner in their loved one’s case there should be specific procedures in place for pathologists in relation to covid vaccines.
They were advised by the coroner to take this issue up with the HPRA.
In correspondence with the state’s medicines watchdog during the inquest into the death of Joseph McGinty (14) of Achill Island, this Substack secured acknowledgement from the HPRA following an email and article arising out of the McGinty inquest regarding the Burckhardt protocols.
The article outlines how Pfizer’s Vaccines Director was asked by a Senior Counsel whether a test or protocol existed that could rule in or out the vaccine as a contributory factor in a death. The article clarifies that such protocols do exist (Burkhardt protocols) despite Pfizer’s claim to the contrary.
In a reply email dated August 16 2023, the HPRA’s Pharmacovigilance Manager, Anne Tobin, acknowledged receipt of this information confirming she had shared it with relevant staff members.
“Dear Ms Roseingrave,
I would like to acknowledge receipt of your email sent to HPRA Customer Service on 30 July.
Your email has been shared with Ms Sinead Curran and relevant team members within the HPRA’s Human Products Monitoring department,” Ms Tobin wrote.

Stay with it Louise as we know what caused these unnecessary and unexpected deaths.
Well done Louise. How ridiculous is it for the pathologist to say that he can't do a simple test that any pathologist is trained to do [immunohistochemistry stains] in order to determine a possible link with the mRNA shots. Especially when a medic reported a possible vaccine related adverse event, the family are requesting it and they haven't come up with another plausible alternative. Shocking behaviour. Keep pulling that string. The whole thing is beginning to come apart.
