The Dáil heard calls for an independent investigation into the cause of excess deaths today. Independent Kerry TD Danny Healy-Rae said there was a ‘massive amount’ of people dying in his constituency and raised the issue of covid 19 vaccinations.
“There’s a lot of conversation and the word vaccination – the minute I mention that I’m accused of being ‘anti-vax’ but the conversation is out there Minister. People are asking why are all these deaths happening? They are asking is it the result of covid? Is it the result of vaccinations? And they need answers. We need to have an independent investigation into what’s happening at the present time because life is precious and we want people to live as long as possible,” Deputy Healy-Rae said.
“The increase in deaths all over needs to be investigated. Clots, heart attacks, strokes – why are doctors and nurses, they will tell you privately – but it’s like as if they are silenced. They won’t come out and tell exactly what they think are the causes, because they know, they’ve been dealing with the patients who have died.
“People in their forties, young people who should be around for many years to come and there is concern as to what’s happening in our community,” he said.
Independent TD for Cork South West Michael Collins called for an immediate inquiry into excess deaths, data collection and specifically – unexplained deaths of young people.
“Given this alarming situation we firmly believe an independent inquiry into these excess deaths is imperative,” he said.
“It’s shocking and it merits an investigation. We need answers as to the causes and implications of these fatalities aswell as a plan to prevent them.
“I also want to mention the rise of strokes, haemorrhages, in my own constituency, West Cork - it’s astonishing the amount of young people, thanks be to God some people are recovering from that situation. More unfortunately, young people, have lost their lives and there’s no answer. It’s a mystery to some people – not to everybody – it’s a mystery,” Deputy Collins said.
Fianna Fail TD for Carlow-Kilkenny John McGuinness also raised the issue of young people dying.
“Some people consider that there’s a lot more deaths now than buy comparison to previous years,” he said.
“I’m beginning to think there is an unusual amoung of deaths and we should look at what is the cause of that. What shocks me in my own county is the number of young people that are dying, the number of cancer cases that are being reported and the range of the types of cancer that people are suffering from and have died from. We should try to understand what types of cancer and maybe where those types of cancer come from,” Deputy McGuinness said.
Independent TD for Clare Michael McNamara echoed calls for an inquiry into the rise in excess deaths.
“It seems clear to me there’s been an increase in excess mortality but I’ve no idea why. I’ve an open mind on the matter. We do need to find out what is behind the reasons for excess deaths. Clearly there seems to be a worrying trend,” he said.
Independent TD for Tipperary Mattie McGrath called for an investigation to be conducted by ‘somebody from outside the country that would be fair, objective and discreet.’
Kildare South FG TD Martin Heydon offered a statement that evaded any mention of ongoing excess mortality.
Deputy Heydon is Minister of State in the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine with Special Responsibility for Research and Development, Farm Safety, and New Market Development.
“It is important to note that peaks of mortality are not unusual in winter, most commonly as a result of cold snaps and the increased circulation of respiratory viruses. In particular, viruses with epidemic and pandemic potential such as covid 19 and the flu,” he said.
The Minister of State tracked through two peaks in mortality that he attributed to the ‘covid 19 pandemic’ (2020 and 2021) before he mentioned the excess mortality peak of December 2022 which he said continued for five weeks.
“Those aged 75 years and older were most affected,” he said.
“The HPSC also observed a period of excess mortality during December 2022 and January 2023 over a period of five consecutive weeks. Influenza activity was at very high levels in December 2022 and January 2023 with a high number of influenza hospitalisations reported.”
“The HSPC has extensive ongoing surveillance to monitor morbidity and mortality associated with covid 19, influenza, RSV, and other respiratory viruses,” Deputy Heydon said.
He then tracked through the ongoing covid 19 vaccine programme and cited estimate figures from the World Health Organisation’s ‘Live Systematic Review of Vaccine Effectiveness’ that claims covid 19 vaccines prevented the following:
102,000 hospitalisation with covid 19,
3,300 ICU admissions and
16,000 deaths due to Covid 19.
Deputy Heydon noted that booster vaccines are currently available free of charge to certain groups including those aged 50 years and older. The flu vaccine, he said, is also available for free to those aged 65 years and older.
The Minister of State failed to mention any issues relating to ongoing excess deaths, cancers, or vaccine safety. Missing from today’s Dáil debate is Pfizer’s press release issued last Friday, outlining that mRNA covid vaccines “show increased risks” of myocarditis and pericarditis, particularly among young people.
Deputy Heydon further failed to mention how the HSE updated it’s list of adverse reactions for the covid 19 vaccines in March 2022, following the roll out of vaccines across all age groups.
Last February, this Substack spoke to three Irish medical consultants on the detail required to track sigma events in excess death figures. Two of these consultants spoke of concerns related to damage from booster vaccines, but as outlined in the Dail today by Deputy Healy-Rae, they declined to disclose their identity publicly.
One element of analysis that health authorities cannot ignore is deaths across all age groups, particularly in young, healthy individuals with no co-morbidities. This Substack has compiled data that should concern authorities. This data has been cross checked with the CSO and I will post this analysis in a separate article tomorrow.

Previous work on this topic:
A truly independent investigation by qualified professionals must be immediately instituted, not an attempt at whitewash which won’t work anyway. It is impossible to put the genie back in the bottle . The truth is coming out on the greatest crime in human history . The Covid pathogenicity hoax was created to facilitate a panic of the people into accepting a genocidal gene therapy ,which is now revealing itself in all its horror. Some of us recognised the crime as it was being committed and tried to warn the people only to be demonised, vilified and destroyed by the perpetrators of the crime . It gives me no pleasure to be proven right from February 2020 when I copped the hoax coming out of China and the lies coming from Italy.
Thanks for your ongoing work. Much appreciated reporting
